Fit Exercise in your life 15 Ways!

1. Plan! It only takes a minute on Sunday evening to look at your day planner and plan your week. Grocery shopping, doctors visits, kids soccer. Now plan your exercise and write it in your schedule! Don't wait for the time, make priorities!
2. It only takes 10 minutes! Really, research shows that just 10 minutes a day every day will impact your health positively!
3. Create exercise out of every day life by parking far away and walking, walk up a flight of steps to work every day instead of taking the elevator, pick up your toddler and raise them overhead again and again, my grand kids give me an excellent work out!
4. Plan fun family activities. Take the kids on a bike ride, or a hike.
5. Turn off the TV! You will be amazed how much time we all have if we would just turn off the TV! Now, take the kids or your hubby and go for a walk after dinner!
6. Find a buddy! You have a friend, neighbor who is in need of support and motivation just like you! Your chances of success will increase 10 times by walking, hiking with a buddy.
7. Work out at home with a DVD! There are many wonderful DVD's to choose from, yes, even 10 minute work outs!
8. Think about your why and place it on the TV, the mirror, computer, everywhere you are to remind you of why you want to exercise! Are you losing weight for a special occasion? Wedding, class reunion, swim suit, or just want health and vitality to play with those grand kids? Put that picture of your why everywhere!
9. Attend a health education lecture. The more you know about your body and the damage slowly being done over time is a great motivator!
10. Stress! Stress will lead to disease and aging! Can't go for a walk, take 5 minutes and practice deep breathing. We don't utilize our lungs enough. This will take away that craving and stop you from reaching for the bad habit.
11. Replace bad habits with good habits! Instead of caffeine and a candy bar for the 3:00 pm doldrums practice the breathing exercise above, walk the stairs or go out for a walk. The fresh air will also do wonders for your mood and attitude!
12. Yes, you could set your alarm clock just 10 minutes earlier or just get up when it goes off and go walk around the block. Take the dog, they will love you for it!
13. Get a dog! They are great companions and won't let you sleep in the morning!
14. put on your favorite tunes and notice how your mood and attitude changes and motivates you to move your body.
15. Join a class or a group for fun and social activities such as dancing or working out! If you are in Tucson, join Fitness in Tucson. www.meetup.com/fitness-in-tucson
